Good morning everyone!
I am linking up with Farley at Oh' Boy 4th Grade for this month's currently again! I love this link up. :)
Most of mine are pretty self explanatory....
{Listening}..to Pandora...I am kinda obsessed over T.Swifts new CD, so I turned that on while the kiddos were in music class. I forget how relaxing it can be to have music on while I work!
{Loving}..all of the decor! I am one of those people who wants to start decorating as soon as November hits. The boyfriend asked me not to until Thanksgiving was over, so on Friday I exploded with ornaments and tinsel in our apartment. (Thanks to Target...of course) I will share some of my crafts I made for the holiday season soon!
{Thinking...and KNOWING}..I need a new computer. My Mac is from 2007. Enough said.
{Wanting}...an intuos graphic pen...is this what you all use for creating clip art?...I am a newb, can you tell?!
{Needing}...to take back all of the amazing food I ate this weekend. I hope you all had a fabulous Thanksgiving! I know I did! I had two of them...and man, my body is hating me this week for eating pie like it was my job. Everything was just sooooo yummy though!
{Giving}...I am trying to find a community bank for the kiddos and I to get involved with this season. My students are so sweet and always thinking of others. I think it would be a great way for us all to give back to the community. How do you give back in your classroom?
Until next time..
Merry, Merry everyone! xox
Hi Megan. We have a lot in common! I LOVE all the decoractions, musc too!! Everyone is so merry :) I love your blog, too. I'm gld I found you. Happy holidays.

You're so sweet! Don't you love all the festive lights everywhere? Have an amazing holiday!
DeleteThanks for sharing, Megan. As a Mac person myself I can say that it speaks to the quality of the computer you bought that it is still usable 7 years after you bought it. I still have a Power Mac in my basement that I bought in 2006 that still chugs along fine when I need to use it. Maybe if you're good, Santa will bring you a new computer. ;0)
ReplyDeleteIn our school we do have done a "Treat Shop" where we make and sell goodies in order to raise money for needy families in our community. Unfortunately, we aren't allowed to sell food any more so instead we are making and selling "flubber" this year.

The "Treat Shop" is such a good idea! The older grades in our school do that, but it is to raise money for our own school. Thankfully, I got my kiddos involved with Umom for a charity this Christmas.
DeleteI am wishing really hard for Santa to bring me my new Mac...TRUST ME. :)
Ah! My mac is from 2007 too....vintage! My startup memory is full. Whatever that means. Goodluck shopping!! I am jealous. I need one but can't get one for a while. I agree how relaxing and wonderful music can be in the classroom. We either play classical or soft music during writing time or the students created their own playlist for more relaxed times. We also play it during parent-teacher conferences. I saw on someones instagram the idea to play the youtube fireplace on the projector, too! (how relaxing!) :)

I would never think to play a fireplace! That is such a neat idea! Thanks for sharing. :)
DeleteI love Taylor Swift's new album as well! I almost always have some sort of music on when doing virtually everything in my life: getting ready for work, writing lesson plans, cooking, etc. It drives my fiance insane, but it is just how I function. My students have grown accustomed to having Kidzbop music on while they are working independently as well, so its a win-win for all of us in my classroom. ;) I'm certainly needing to take back all of the food I ate over Thanksgiving break as well! So much so that I have thrown myself back into the gym and have began eating healthier this week. At this point, I feel like I'm dying, but it'll eventually pay off, right? {I hope!} Hope you have a great holiday season!
ReplyDeleteHave you seen the KidzBop in GoNoodle now? I love it!
DeleteHappy Holidays! :)
This sounds like something I would've written! :)
ReplyDeleteIf you can hold out on your computer until July-ish, Apple usually runs a promotion where educators and students can purchase a MacBook for a slight {I mean really slight -- like, $100} off + a $100 iTunes gift card. I think MacBooks are totally worth the investment {I'm on my 2nd one}, but I'm all about saving where I can!

No way! I did not know that! :) Thank you for sharing.
